Lee Clark - Financial Director

Lee trained at Pattison's Academy and the Shirley Thompson Academy in dance, music and drama from the age of 5 and qualified in both teachers and performers major examinations with the International Dance Teachers Association (IDTA), American Association of Dancing (AAD), British Theatre Dance Association (BTDA) and the Associated Board of Dance (ABD).

From the age of 17, Lee was a professional performer appearing literally all around the world as a multi-instrumentalist song and dance man.

During the 70's, Lee opened the Studio One Stage School which became one of the largest and most successful theatre schools in the country with many pupils going on to the Royal Ballet, Ballet Rambert and appearing in the West End and Moulin Rouge.

In the late 80's Lee opened an entertainment agency booking entertainers, dancers and virtually every major star in the country on a regular basis; the agency became the largest independent entertainment agency in the UK booking solely for Pontin's Holidays, Naafi XL Leisure, Gala Bingo, Regent Inns, Bass Leisure & Scottish & Newcastle and acting as UK agent for "The Supremes" and "The Three Degrees", "Bucks Fizz" and the "Rockin' Berries", The Fortunes and the "Dreamboys" to name but a few.

Lee was very much involved and has played a major role in writing the Musical Theatre syllabus and recording virtually all of the ABD music onto CD for use in examinations.

It's never been easier to join the ABD

Why not become part of the fastest growing dance examination board in the UK.

We have a vibrant young membership and offer great teacher support and training courses throughout the country, as well as festivals, competitions and opportunities to perform in a professional environment.

If you are qualified with another association, you can transfer your qualifications to ABD without taking an examination.
