Joanne Sullivan - Director

Joanne began dancing at the age of 3 at the "Circle School Of Dance" taught by her mother, Jacqueline Loats.

At age 16 she continued her professional training at "Arts Educational Schools" in London studying Musical Theatre.

She graduated from Arts Ed. In 1984 and worked professionally in "Panto" and Musical Theatre alongside such stars as Spike Milligan, John Nettles and Les Dawson appearing at The Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, until deciding to teach and join forces with her mother.

She continued with her professional training becoming an Adjudicator, Senior Examiner and Chairman of A.B.D.
Joanne has had the opportunity to travel both Nationally and Internationally lecturing and demonstrating the examination syllabi as well as freelancing lecturing in all aspects of dance for other recognised associations within the U.K.

In 2007 Joanne was short listed for a Carl Allen (teachers' award) and was very proud to achieve runner up against many well known and respected teachers within the dance world and again short listed in 2008 for The "Classique de Danse" teachers' award.

Joanne has a successful school in Birmingham and many of her pupils have gone on to further their training at some of the top Theatre schools in the country.

It's never been easier to join the ABD

Why not become part of the fastest growing dance examination board in the UK.

We have a vibrant young membership and offer great teacher support and training courses throughout the country, as well as festivals, competitions and opportunities to perform in a professional environment.
